The story of a photographer
I love photographing people and telling stories. I have 20 years of experience, ever since I stumbled into photography when I was in high school. Armed with my 35mm camera, I would spend my time either taking pictures or developing them in the darkroom.
When I wasn't doing that, I could often be found studying the work of artists such as Max Dupain, Margaret Bourke-White, Stanley Kubrick, Sally Mann and Robert Capa. I was particularly fascinated by the way that you could tell a story through pictures, capturing emotions and feeling at a moment in time, forever.
After leaving high school, I trained at the University of Sydney Union Film & Television School, specialising in Cinematography & Editing. I have worked on several films, shooting both on film and digital formats.
I have worked all over the world and in 2016 I received an Honourable Mention in the International Photo Awards in the Fine Art category. I have also had the pleasure being a photographer for Melbourne Fashion week in 2021.
Photography is not a job for me, it is something I am genuinely passionate about. I think it's important to develop a relationship with a client so that I get to know you and tell your story. I want you to have fun and enjoy the experience.
I hope you enjoy my work and I hope you get in touch.
Cheers,
Scott
